The Torres Family Book Series Curious Quique

The Torres Family/ La Familia Torres Series through the main child character, Quique along with his grandfather Felix interact in a genuine dialog in which mirrors children natural curiosity about the surrounding world. In each of the books in the series targets a science principle, being the book one the introduction concepts such as: Scientific Method, What is a scientist , what do scientist do.

The simplification of the lovely dialog between the child and his grandfather takes a daily life situation to explain, step by step , the Scientific Method. Young readers can establish a connection to the character's visit to the grandparents home and with the bonding between the two generations. Great read aloud prior to the Science lesson that introduces students to these concepts.

In all the books of the series the characters will explain a science concepts which helps develop a background knowledge prior to the Science concepts to be presented in the unit to be taught in the classroom.
